Your doctor may permit you to have some treatment on a repeat prescription.
You must either post or place the repeat prescription requests in the box located near the main entrance and allow two full working days for your prescription to be processed three if your prescription is taken to the local chemist.
If you prefer we will post your prescription form to you but you must enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
We also have a dedicated telephone line (01636 817923) for patients who have difficulty travelling to the surgery. Please note that this phone line is only available during office hours.
We would recommend that all patients register for online services. This will allow you to order repeat medication and to book appointments from your computer.
Please be aware that we only prescribe medication in line with our 28 day prescribing policy. You can view that policy here 28 Day Prescribing Policy.docx
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
Please allow 72 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed.
Any problems please telephone the surgery.
